Percussion Workshop

There will be a onetime workshop on Wednesday the 24th of March in which you learn, in a easy way, the techniques and rhythm patterns of specific 'salsa percussion instruments', like conga's, bonga's, campana (cowbells), quiro, maraca's and claves.
You will not only learn how to play these instruments, but also how they fit within the Salsa music; how does the clave rhythm fits in the arrangement of a whole song, and which instruments and beats will match the patterns and steps you dance.
There will be lots of opportunity to practice this in playing Salsa music together, and dancing on the dance floor.
 
This Salsa Percussion workshop will be given by Wytze van der Zweep(Latigo Blanco), teacher drums en Latin percussion, and also a Salsa dancer.

Program:  20.00-21.00hr technique
               21.15-22.30hr applying ryhtms to music and dancing
